The Pecan Lodge are known for their friendly family vibe and queues that can sometimes reach two blocks! An inspirational start to this restaurant with the owners Justin and Diane deciding to quit their corporate jobs to spend more time as a family and decided bbq was the way to go, and their guests couldn’t be more thankful.

So why would long queues tempt you? Maybe the queues wouldn’t tempt you but one taste of their mouth watering, melty, delicious brisket will erase all thoughts of long queues, although once you have been a couple of times you will find out that some days there are no queues at all (its all in the timing).

So What’s on the menu?

Something called a “hot Mess” and my mouth is a hot mess just thinking about it, or maybe a drooly mess, the hot mess includes jumbo sea salt-crusted sweet potato, south texas barbacoa (shredded brisket with southwestern seasoning), chipotle cream, cheese, butter & green onions, in other words yum.

They also have delicious sausage you can choose from the regular or jalapeño, another big highlight is their their macaroni and cheese which has yummy pieces of bacon and a kick of jalapeños to send this dish from average to amazing. There is just so much more I can list of the menu, but I need to leave some mystery for you to try for yourself.

Lucky for you and everyone around them they offer catering as well, so planning your next party, your friends will be forever thankful you asked them to cater.
