BBQ Fish Sauces

your own homemade fish sauces? Try these recipes out!
- Half cup granadilla pulp
- 20 ml of water
- 2 Tablespoons of maple syrup
- 1 Tablespoon of rosemary
- 1 Tablespoon of thyme
- Two tablespoons of granadilla juice
Method
Place the granadilla pulp and the granadilla juice into a warm pot. Add thyme and rosemary and mix ingredients together thoroughly.
Let the sauce simmer for about five minutes.
Slowly add the maple syrup and the water to get the consistency right. Let ingredients simmer for ten minutes before pouring on the fish.
Goes great with King Clip and Hake. Enough sauce for two full
sized pieces of hake.
- Half cup of whipped cream
- Tablespoon of garlic butter
- 4 Cloves of garlic minced
- Tablespoon of onion powder
- Half a cup of milk
- Tablespoon of ground black pepper
- Tablespoon of salt
Method
Mix the cream together with the garlic butter in a hot pot. Then add the onion powder and the garlic into the sauce.
Slowly add the milk to get the thickness you desire, use more if needed.
Then finally sprinkle over black pepper and the salt to flavour.
Let ingredients simmer a bit for bout five minutes until the consistency you desire is achieved.
Great for snapper fish and most types of seafood, enough sauce
to marinate 300 grams of seafood.
- 2 Tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 Tablespoon of basil
- Half cup Soy sauce
- 1 Tablespoon of vinegar
- 2 Cloves of garlic minced
- 1 onion (minced)
- Tablespoon of parsley
- Tablespoon of ground black pepper
Method
Pour the Soy sauce into a pot, together with the olive oil. Add the basil with the vinegar and let ingredients simmer for five minutes.
Then add the onion with the garlic. Finally mix in the parsley and the pepper and mix all ingredients together.
Only marinate the salmon for bout eight minutes as the vinegar in the sauce can eat away at the flesh of the salmon.
